Mobile Apps

Convocados ships native apps for Android and iOS that connect to any Convocados instance.

Android

A native Android app (Kotlin + Jetpack Compose, Material 3) is available on Google Play. It connects to any self-hosted Convocados instance via the Convocados OIDC provider.

Features

iOS

A native iOS app (SwiftUI, MVVM) is under development and awaiting funding. The one-time$100 Apple Developer Program membership is required to publish it. We keep Convocados free and open source, so we're asking the community to help cover this fee.

Help fund the iOS app

iOS builds and runs on the iOS Simulator today. The app covers the same feature set as Android: email/password sign-in, games list, event detail, team randomization, rankings, payments, history, stats, and notifications.

Support

Development

Android

cd android-app
./gradlew assembleDebug # Build debug APK
./gradlew installDebug # Install on a connected device / emulator

iOS

cd ios-app
xcodegen generate # Regenerate the Xcode project
open Convocados.xcodeproj # Build & run in Xcode (simulator works out of the box)

iOS has an XCUITest end-to-end suite (ios-app/scripts/run-e2e.sh) that drives login, event creation, and event detail on the simulator against a local dev server.

Authentication

Both apps authenticate via the Convocados OIDC provider (Authorization Code + PKCE on Android; email/password or Google sign-in through /api/auth/mobile-native on iOS). Tokens are stored securely in platform keychains. The server must have the app's redirect URI registered as a trusted client.
