Introduction
Convocados ("we", "our", or "the app") is a sports event management application. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our web application, Android app, or Wear OS app.
Information We Collect
Account Information
- Email address — used for authentication and optional game notifications
- Display name — shown to other players in your games
- Profile picture — if you sign in with Google, we store your Google profile image URL
Game Data
- Events you create or join (title, location, date/time, sport type)
- Player lists and team assignments
- Game scores and history
- ELO ratings and attendance statistics
Device Information
- Push notification tokens — to send game reminders (only if you opt in)
- Device type — to optimize the experience for phone, tablet, or watch
Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect precise location data
- We do not collect contacts or phone numbers
- We do not track your activity outside the app
- We do not use advertising SDKs or sell your data
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the core service: creating games, managing players, tracking scores
- To send notifications about games you've joined (reminders, score updates)
- To display your name and stats to other players in shared games
- To improve the app experience and fix bugs
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is only visible to:
- Other players in games you've joined (your name and game stats)
- Event organizers (your attendance and payment status for their events)
Data Storage and Security
- Data is stored on servers hosted by Fly.io in the EU (Paris region)
- All connections use HTTPS encryption
- Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms
- OAuth tokens are stored encrypted on your device
Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app settings, which will permanently remove all your personal data. Game history in events you participated in will be anonymized.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — available in your profile settings
- Export your data — use the data export feature in settings
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Opt out of notifications at any time
Children's Privacy
Convocados is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Third-Party Services
- Google Sign-In — for authentication (subject to Google's Privacy Policy)
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — for push notifications on Android/Wear OS
- Fly.io — for hosting (data processed in EU)
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the app. The "last updated" date at the top indicates when the policy was last revised.
